THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY!
A robotic competition challenge will be held July 31st at the Agricultural & Biological Engineers Annual Meeting in Detroit. 19 Universities from Canada, China and US are competing for a winning robot that will identify, sort, and harvest apples!
The California State Water Board is considering increasing water to rivers and restricting water to farming operations in the San Joaquin Valley, that will dramatically impact almond growers!
A little closer to home, the recent record rainfall in south Florida has created an algae bloom that covers 90% of Lake Okeechobee’s 730 square miles.
It is believed to be the largest algae bloom ever seen!
