I do maintenance and farming at a local organic farm. I do handyman/remodeling work on the side, primarily in the off-season. One of my projects is building sturdy, attractive stands for rain barrels.
In my work, I follow the general principle that the ‘greenest’ thing that can be done in home maintenance is to repair something rather than replace it. I thus make efforts to do that, even altering my business plan to accommodate fixing more.
