Greens On The Gro Farm

Greens on the Gro Farm is a small, but growing, seven acre hydroponic family farm.
Located in the decreasing agricultural land north of Manatee River, West of I-75, in Manatee County. The farm was started in 2007 using a high density vertical tower system. Hydroponic drip irrigation is used to feed the fruits and vegetables. The plants are fed mini-meals during the day of 16 nutrients that are required for plant growth, and no petro-chemical fertilizers or nutrients are used. A variety of naturally grown greens, fruits, and vegetables, are always in the garden, and we are always trying new products.
The farm is a member of the Southwest Florida Small Farm Network, an expanding group of farmers, producers, and agricultural agents that share a common interest of growing food that is good for our health and our environment, The Manatee County Farm Alliance, and the Florida Farm Bureau. The networks allow small growers to share products, and a belief that a small grower can provide quality products, directly to the consumer at a fair price. The farm is located at 2309 Ellenton-Gillette Road (aka 36th Ave. E ) Palmetto, Fl. 34221.
